Ukrainian girl takes honourary kickoff in Valencia CF's match against Cádiz CF
Anna Olkhovska is an 8-year-old Ukrainian girl who is a 3rd year Primary Education student at CEIP Luis Vives de Silla, a centre that is part of the Escoles Cor Blanquinegre project.
Anna took the honourary kickoff in Valencia CF's match against Cádiz CF.
She has been part of the Escoles Cor Blanquinegre project at CEIP Luis Vives since the 2020/21 academic year. Anna lives with her mother and her stepfather, who has hosted friends from Ukraine that he himself brought over from the country: Seven-year-old Yari and his mother.
Anna, Yari, and their mothers were able to attend the LaLiga match as guests of the club.
The VCF Foundation, together with the Association of Ukrainians in Spain, set up collection boxes at some of the entrances at Mestalla to raise funds in the runup to Valencia CF's game against Cádiz CF.
The club continue their support for the victims of the war in Ukraine, focusing on humanitarian aid, reception and integration.
